Mile Building Options

Weymouth Weekends

Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.  It is almost exactly 60NM from our base in Shamrock Quay, Southampton, down to Weymouth in Dorset. Perfect for getting those  qualifying passages.

West Country Mile Builders

If you wish to go further afield, we run 5 or 7 day trips down to the West Country.  We will be visiting places like Weymouth, Exmouth, Brixham, the river Dart and Totnes, Salcombe and Plymouth.

Cross Channel Hops

Usually 4 day trips.  Cross the channel to the Cherbourg peninsular or the Channel islands.

Costs

Weekend (Friday pm to Sunday pm) £465.00 – Per person
5 Days – £780.00 per person

For many of our courses, it is possible to join the boat the night before , evening meal not included.

Maximum of 5 people, plus skipper.

Minimum Age & Experience

There are no minimum age for these trips.

3 Mile Building Options

Throughout the year, we offer mile building trips.

These trips are normally between 2 and 7 days. Sailing to destinations like Weymouth, Cherbourg, Channel Isles and the West Country.

These cruises are great for those seeking qualifying passages prior to taking practical sailing exams. It is also suitable for anyone looking to achieve more passage planning and making practice.

These trips are also good fun if you just want a few days sailing.

What is Included & Excluded in costs ?

Please note all prices shown are per person for the course duration

What is included… 

• All onboard meals, Snacks & Beverages
• Yacht fuel, water & gas
• Certificates; assuming you pass of course !
• Pillow & blankets
• Wet weather clothing, although we encourage you to bring your own if you have them, not boots or gloves
• VAT

What is not included…

• Away from base mooring fees – usually about £45.00 per night, equally divided amongst the crew (not the skipper)
• Towels, sleeping bags & pillowcases
