Lakka is the loveliest town and does not disappoint from the time you cross the threshold of the harbour and enter the bright turquoise waters in the bay to the time you leave.
It is a quiet, unassuming little town with several pretty, shaded, pebbly beaches, numerous restaurants, bars and little shops. It is the kind of place I could imagine spending my summer in and never getting bored.
Our favourite restaurant is Arriva – set right on the water’s edge where Haroullah is always ready to welcome you in – they serve delicious starters and fresh, locally caught fish and have orange cake to die for.
Of the many little shops I love the beautiful Il Pareo which has exquisite clothing and accessories.
Paxos boasts several beautiful towns – Loggos and Gaios – and the beautiful bay at Mongonissi – but somehow Lakka seems to have it all – pretty town, beautiful beaches and a stunning bay.
